Iraq war brings tears

When I read this post.. It brought tears to my eyes. I ask  God why?

My heart ached for the the persons friend, the boy and the mom in Iraq.

(The Post)
If ever asked why I oppose the wars in the middle east

I think of one my closest friends, he left for Iraq at 19 years old.

5 months into his deployment he calls me, I can here his

voice trembling and realize something is wrong.

I asked what happened and in the most terrified voice I've ever heard

he simply replied "I shot someone today, I killed them"

he told me the horrifying details of how he was on patrol,

came around a corner to see what was afterwards identified

as a child pointing a fake gun at him and how my friend

instinctively raised his weapon and fired.

My friend now suffers from PTSD, he has trouble sleeping at

night and has dangerous bouts of depression.

Likewise somewhere in Iraq a mother weeps for her child.

( End Post)

AS I prayed for healing and Peace, for the friend of the person  who made this post with PTSD,
and the person who made this post. And for all those who were broken hearted from this war and many other wars.

The Lord spoke in a soft and gentle voice.

"It was I she called out to, while she weept.

Many Sacrafices, or martyrs are made for the sake of my name.

My word must be preached to all the nations"

Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come

You see our soldiers who's feet were or are on the soil in Iraq.

Well they Were faithful to God.

They Prayed and read the bible.

Shared their testimonies with the Iraq people.

Becuase they were there in Iraq, that boy is in heaven with God.

That mom knows that one day Jesus will be ready to reunite them.

Thanks to our soldiers.

You see our soldiers treated the Iraq people with love, joy,

peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

They shared the Good News with the people of Iraq,

sometimes without even knowing it.

I pray for all who read this that God will open your eyes.

so that you may see that  God has a purpose, even when we are not aware.

I pray that God will heal the soldier who has PTSD, in Jesus Name.

I suppose if God can do this in Iraq,  he can do it in Afganastan or any other place in this world.

May the Grace and Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
