Living in the desert is an option.

These past months since George was in the hospitol.
We have had to change his eating habits. Or to put it in
perspective our eating habits. Because what he has to eat,
I have to eat. We share in meals.

No salt. No white starchy foods. Potaoes, rice and white bread gone off the diet.
Diabetes and high blood pressure can be managed with a good diet.

At first I was reminding him, you can't eat that. Don't salt that.
I was offering him fresh fruits and vegetables.
Getting know where real quick.. with all my nagging.

He says I wasn't nagging. Just be over concerned.

The Lord was quick to remind me of the Proverb 21:19.
Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.

Or Better to live in a corner of an attic than with a nagging wife.

Well considering the fact that he knows what he can eat and what he can't eat.
I decided to not nag him, anymore. So by the time Thanksgiving came. I didn't tell him what
he could eat and what he couldn't eat. He knows, its up to him to take care of his body.

I want my relationship with husband to be that of a longing for me. Not one that will kill him.
Judges 16:16
She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it.

Yes, I may take it to offense, when someone says something to the affect of
"Leave the room so Dad can eat this or that.." Even if they were joking.
Only because, they are protraying me a nag.

If it comes down to a sugar coma and he is not waking, and he needs to take his meds.
Then I might nag him. For He is to precious to me.

While I would like to leave the affect of a light shinning for the Lord Jesus Christ,
on all who I meet. Once again. Our attitude should be not how others think of us,

but on how the Lord sees our heart.

Funny how God works, when you are struggling with
an issue and God sorounds you with answers. Check out Fiona's blog today.

Living by the Holy Spirit's Power ~~ self control ~~

Living by the Holy Spirit's Power ~~ self control ~~

Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

By Submitting to Jesus, the Holy Spirit will produce good
fruit in you.
Lets start with self-control.
and the meaning.. dictionary
( restraint exercised over one's own impulses, emotions, or desires )

Proverbs 25:28
A person without self-control
is like a city with broken-down walls.

Think of a huge castle or a fort, back when the cities were surrounded
by walls, the enemy use to have to tear down the walls.
Once those walls got broke down, the enemy could defeat and pillage
the city.

Ok so self-control is like having our walls strong and unbreakable. So what is
self-control. Easy,  Obeying God, even when we don't want to.

We can learn by examples that God gave us. Lets go over just a couple of those
who lacked self-control

■EVE lacked self-control by eating a piece of fruit, even though God had commanded against it
■ADAM lacked self-control by giving into peer pressure and ate a piece of fruit also
■CAIN lacked self-control by letting jealousy control him and killing his brother Abel
■ISREALITES lacked self-control by complaining in the wilderness to Moses
■PRODIGAL SON lacked self-control by spending all of his money on wild living

Now think about how Jesus was tempted by Satan.
For 40 days and 40 nights Jesus had nothing to eat.
Not even a peice of bread.

He was in his flesh body then, just like you and I.
He was human. Boy was he hungry, dizzy, weakened and tired.
Really if you think it is easy to skip food, a meal here or there. But
just try skipping all food for 3 days, yet have it right in front of you all the time.

And the whole time, having someone eating your
favorite ice-cream, cookie or pizza in front of you.

You can smell it.
See the ice cream melting,,
or all that mozerella pizza cheese stretching as they bite into it.
And not falling into the temptation.

Well that is self control. When you make up your mind to do something. And Stick to your goal.
It would be just like the devil to come attacking when you are feeling weak, or your at a low,
depressed, or discouraged.

Use Jesus as the good example as he did when he was led into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.  How Jesus used self-control to stay in God's will.

Mathew 4:1-4
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.
For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry.
During that time the devil came and said to him.

“If you are the Son of God,
tell these stones to become loaves of bread."

But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,
"People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God"

You know the devil kept right on tempting Jesus. But thank God, Jesus had self-control. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
He didn't cave in. He didn't say just say maybe just this once.

Mathew 4:10-11
Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan!
For it is written:
‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only”

Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him

Did you get those results?  Praise God!
"Worship the Lord Your God, and serve him only"
The devil left him. Angels came and attended him.

The Holy Spirit produces fruit. Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and "Self-Control"

Be fruitful in the fruits of the holy spirit,
Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful for the Lord washing my sins away!

Prayer

Mainly people think of blessings in the form of money.
So as a sweet reminder to pray through out the day,
I will use money as an example.
I place a penny in my doorway,
and the outside of my door.
As I walk through my door to leave the house,
I see my penny. It reminds me to pray.
Lord Bless me as I go out into this world.
Let your light shine through me. Use me Lord,
for your will.
When I come into the house.
I see the penny. And Pray..
Lord, Thank you for my house and all my family
Keep them safe and quide them with your holy spirit.
This worked so good as a reminder to pray for blessings,
that I placed a penny on the floor in the car.
So everytime I climb into the car,
I see that penny, this reminds me.
Before I drive out of the driveway,
I pray that the Lord would keep me safe and those around me
safe.  I also have one on the passenger side of the car,
so that if I am not driving, the reminder shall be there.
Sometimes we get so busy, and in a rush we forget to pray.
Set up reminders in your daily routine, to remind you to pray.
Because" I Love You" and want you to be blessed.

JESUS LOVES YOU

This reminded me to pray for you!

Hugs and Touches Heal the sick

Years ago, When I got the news of that my body was inflicted with cancer,
Anxiety plagued me. My husband was distraught.
The children were little, so they were not aware of this.

Now we had heard the words of Jesus Christ and how he healed many people.
He even rose the Dead. How he even rose the dead. The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
Luke 7:14-16

As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them,
“Don’t tell anyone what you have seen,
until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
Matthew 17:8-10

Being aware of the healing power in the name of Jesus. We accepted it.
When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Matthew 14:13-15
You can bet that I was on my knees asking for the healing from Jesus,
and along side me was my husband praying.

I often had extra children, besides my own.
One day I was Preparing breakfast for my 3 children and my 2 neices.
God was preparing to Heal me.

God softly whispered in my ear. "Bunny I shall heal you"

I knew that God did heal me. I knew that it was the voice of God that I heard.

Now this was not an instant healing. I still had to go to the doctors. Still
had to keep claiming it. My husband also believed. So we were in agreement.

I had the cancer removed. Had tests done repeatedly for the next several years.
No cancer, None has returned. I am a walking testimony of Christ's Glory.

The other day, I was watching Benny Hinn he had a quest speaker,
Francisco Contreras, MD who wrote a book called Beating Cancer.
( If you are interested in this book you can get it at Benny Hinns website )

Yes, if you are sick I will hug you, hold your hand, pray for you.

At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness,
and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
Luke 4:39-41
They made a statement about hugs, how touch causes things to happen in your cells
that cause healing. How the hospitols are hiring people to come in and hug the sick.
And it is speeding up the recovery of those with cancer. Glory be to God.

Pray and Never Give Up

Unanswered prayer how do you deal with it?
Pray and Never Give Up.

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
Receiving what we ask from him may take persistant prayer. Do your best to wear God out with your prayer requests. 1 John 5:15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests,
we also know that he will give us what we ask for
.

If you have a loved one, that isn't walking in the way of the Lord, or if their is something
in your life that is oppressing you. If there is anything in your life that you are battling.
Don't stop praying. Pray every day, pray constantly. Don't ever give up. Day and Night make your
prayer requests known to him. Prayer is taken very serious by God. Make time and talk to God.

Get in his word, use scriptures over what hinders you. Get strength from the Lord.

I talk to God morning and night. Some days through out the day.
Not just for a minute or two, I am serious, I want God to answer the prayers that
I present to him.

I am like this widow, who constantly submits prayer, requests that I make known to him over and over. I know that the things I ask for in prayer will please him. If there is something that hinders your relationship with GOD, Pray, Pray, and Pray. Constantly Pray. Make known my requests.
" Lord let your word take root in me, so that
I may draw near to you, and obey you, and find favor in your eyes."

Make known your requests, If you have any unanswered prayers, maybe it is a loved one, maybe it is a bad habbit, maybe it is fear or anxiety in your life. No matter what it is,  it is time to get serious.
Make the time for prayer. And pray constantly. Day and Night. Until God hears
your prayer, and provides an answer. I am confident that he hears us,
whenever we ask for anything that pleases him he will answer.

Luke 18:1-7
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
“There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people.
A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.
The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.
Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly!
But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

1 John 3:22
And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

1 John 5:14
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think.
No, he is being patient for your sake.
He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

Being examples for our future

Being an example is important. For it could be your whole purpose.
Deciding your fate. Your future.

In the book of Jude,  he warns fellow christians on how people following
the example of Cain had severe consequences.
They have taken the way of Cain;  they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error,
they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion
.

If you take a look at Cain, After they presented their offerings to the Lord God,
Cain was not so generous with his gift, he also had some attitude adjustments to make.

You will see that God warned Cain about his attitude.  Genesis 1:6-7 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right,
sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Remember to be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 corinthians 16:13 From the beginning of time , sin has been crouching at the door. Ready to pounce. You can have victory. You can rule over it. God actually commanded Cain to rule over it.
That little paragraph said alot about Cain's attitude. "Angry, downcasted face. Pouting, jealous and envious of his brother.
You can choose to be like Cain, Or you could be like the Rechabites family.
For God wants to Bless you. Not punish you.  For God Loves you.

He enjoys for you to Be Good. Follow the Way of Jesus Christ, Love and Be Kind.  You may be sowing into your future with your attitude or mind. God and told Jeremiah to send for Rechabites family. For they were good. And He was about to bless the descendants of Jehonadab.  For they were good examples of obeying God and being

I set cups and jugs of wine before them and invited them to have a drink, but they refused.
“No,” they said, “we don’t drink wine, because our ancestor Jehonadab son of Recab gave us this command: ‘You and your descendants must never drink wine. And do not build houses or plant crops or vineyards, but always live in tents. If you follow these commands, you will live long, good lives in the land.’
So we have obeyed him in all these things. We have never had a drink of wine to this day, nor have our wives, our sons, or our daughters.  We haven’t built houses or owned vineyards or farms or planted crops.
We have lived in tents and have fully obeyed all the commands of Jehonadab, our ancestor.
But when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon attacked this country, we were afraid of the Babylonian and Syrian armies.

So we decided to move to Jerusalem. That is why we are here.”

Then the Lord gave this message to Jeremiah: “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: Go and say to the people in Judah and Jerusalem, ‘Come and learn a lesson about how to obey me. The Recabites do not drink wine to this day because their ancestor Jehonadab told them not to. But I have spoken to you again and again, and you refuse to obey me. Time after time I sent you prophets, who told you, “Turn from your wicked ways, and start doing things right. Stop worshiping other gods so that you might live in peace here in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you would not listen to me or obey me. The descendants of Jehonadab son of Recab have obeyed their ancestor completely, but you have refused to listen to me.’

“Therefore, this is what the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Because you refuse to listen or answer when I call, I will send upon Judah and Jerusalem all the disasters I have threatened.’”
Then Jeremiah turned to the Rechabites and said, “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘You have obeyed your ancestor Jehonadab in every respect, following all his instructions.’ Therefore, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jehonadab son of Recab will always have descendants who serve me.’

Not sure about you, but those are the kind of blessings I seek. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3:11-13
In Jesus Name. AMEN!

Interesting facts ...
Jonadab means: "Jehovah gives"
Rechab means :  "Vessel or Vehicle"  (Rechab was the vessel that God used as the example to Judah and Jerusalem)
Anathoth means : "answers prayer"

So simple pray

If you read the blog post on wonderful.
The 1st woman that I spoke with.
I want to share a little more that went on.

You see we were both shopping at the Goodwill.
She was on one end of the aisle, I was on the other.
Working our way towards one another.
Our baskets almost reaching one another.
She was about to go around me, I said to her wait
I will turn my basket around, so
that we may both be able to look.
Just Being curtious. Moving my cart
out of the way. S
he was astonished to see someone who was willing to
move out of her way, so she could look also.

In a shockingly manner,
She said you don't see that to often here. She put a smile
on her face. Simple kindess or being curtious is so often
a simple way to bring someone else joy.

Show some kindness to one another.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
1 Corinthians 13:3-5

Go out of your way to show kindness.
She also made a statement, while looking through the
clothes. "Its a good thing we are not poor, Or else we
would not be shopping here"

The first thing that came to my mind. Was a statement
that I had made the day before to someone else.

"That I am poor, but God always supplies all of my needs"
If you God supply all of my needs. Then how can I be poor?
I asked God in prayer.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches
of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:18-20

That woman was right. We are not poor. For their are many
that cannot even afford to be at a Goodwill. Although, I am not
so sure that the Goodwill is for the poor anymore. Proof is in the prices.

The prices have really gone up.

Though according to the world, I may be concindered poor.
But boy do I feel rich in God! For He hears my prayers.
He answers my prayers. I rejoice in his kindness!
He has restored my Joy!

Think about it.. Even the Lord Jesus became poor for us.
The man was homeless. Yes Jesus was homeless. He had

No where to lay his head.  He was despised by everyone.
He could have chose to be rich,
But he chose to be poor. To live by faith, to make us rich.

You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,
so that by his poverty he could make you rich.
2 Corinthians 8:8-10

They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor.
But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.
2 Corinthians 8:1-3

The poor will eat and be satisfied.
All who seek the Lord will praise him.
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
Psalm 22:25-27

Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor,
but we give spiritual riches to others.
We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
2 Corinthians 6:9-11

Believers who are poor have something to boast about,
for God has honored them.
James 1:8-10

Shout of his the glorious things he has done for you.
How he sent you a check, so that you may be able to give,
To someone who is poorer than you.

Or how you found a lotto ticket on the ground, and were able to lay
it at the alter as a gift to the Lord.
How out of hundreds he chose you to win a contest, and supplied
you with all the cleaning supplies you were in need of.  Shout for
Joy, Give God that Glory. Honor him!

Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters.
Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith?
Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?
James 2:4-6

He has Great promises for the poor. He will build your faith.
You will learn to trust God. You shall rise up.
He will put reasons for you to be Joyful. All you have to do
is pray. So simple, Pray. Let him know your requests
.

The Lord replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless,
and I have heard the groans of the poor.
Now I will rise up to rescue them,
as they have longed for me to do.”
Psalm 12:4-6

How will he have heard your groans. If you don't spend time with him.
You need to pray so that he can rescue you. So He can answer your prayers.
He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor.
“For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s; on them he has set the world.
1 Samuel 2:7-9

I am always here to pray with you.
You may send me your prayer requests.
I will pray with you.
You can also send them via twitter.

Hi. How yah doin?

Being a total believer in the power of prayer. I often find that opportunity is always there to pray with people. There are many that are poor, sick or in need, just waiting for someone to pray for them.

Though I have seen few that want to rejoice.
That is changing.

Meeting people when your out and about, can lead to a variety of
conversations. Usually it begins with a hi and how are you? Most people will
answer with a groan, maybe a sigh. Then they will begin to tell you all their troubles,
Aches and Pains.

Sometimes you don't even have to ask how are you. They just begin
telling you, you could be a complete stranger or a long time friend, Really, it doesn't
matter. It could be someone you meet in the line to cash out at the grocery store, or pharmacy. They will usually tell you all their troubles.

I enjoy asking people how they are doing. For they instantly tell me their sorrows.
Which opens the door to let them know I will keep them in my prayers. Most often
I get a Thank you. Which opens the Door.. to...
Ahhh, well, why wait, why don't we just pray right now.

Sometimes they will say sure, sometimes they will
say oh, ah nah that's okay... Many different responses, from many different people.

Today for the first time the response was unusual.
 I did my...
"Hi how yah doin?"
The lady responded, "Wonderful"

I was so shocked... left me speechless.
We chatted, a bit. And went back to shopping.

Then the next store we went to, was a lady sitting on a bench.
I said Hi! She said hi. I asked her hows it going?
She replied.... "Wonderful"

It stopped me in my tracks...
I told her how I heard that same reply earlier with the same answer...
That it really shocked me, through me for a loop.
She smiled a friendly smile.

Although, I kind of knew that when I heard those words "wonderful"
were speaking about blessings in their life. I never did ask
either of those ladies what was wonderful in their life.

Next time I get a reply of such, I will ask.. what is wonderful in your life?
We have ears and we need to hear. Not just the sorrows and tears of those
who are troubled. But we need to Rejoice In the Lord.

When the news is good we need to Rejoice too.
God does not always call for us to pray just for those
who are afflicted, but also by sharing and Rejoicing together
someone who is being afflicted might here.

Like it says in  Psalms 34: 1-3.
I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
When God does Good things, he calls us to Rejoice!  Just as I prayed for those
who had sorrows, sickness, aches and pains. He requires us to rejoice with those
Who are blessed, or wonderful.

Then you and the Levites and the foreigners residing among you shall rejoice
in all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household.
Deuteronomy 26:10-12
He didn't say just you rejoice. He said you the Levites and the foreigners Rejoice.

We shall not be defeated by our enemies.  Boasts in Gods deliverance.
Then Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the LORD;
in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. 1 Samuel 2:1-3

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
1 Chronicles 16:8-10

Hello I think this is me. Is this you? "Those who seek the Lord."
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
1 Chronicles 16:9-11

How can we meditate on his wonderful works, If we do not rejoice.  They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
Psalm 145:4-6

So as soon as I got home. I began to write this, and searched
Gods word. And I had to Rejoice! For God was Good,
Once again he revealed himself to me. In a fresh new way.
The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Psalm 118:23-25

James 5:12-14 states that ..
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Philippians 4:3-5
