God is Great!
About 2-3 month or so ago, our hot water tank under the kitchen sink began to leak.
We have been saving for a new one. Which is really a challenge, being we are both
disabled, and socail security is only $900.00 a month, it is difficult to save. Soaking up
the water on a daily basis, under the sink with a towel. I was continually asking God for a
Blessing, a water tank for the kitchen, the funds for it. Or to help us to save up for one.
Kind of funny thing here. I most often thank God for the roof over my head, when I pray.
Well. What happens next will blow your mind. The Big hotwater heater in the bedroom closet.
Starts leaking. Yep. Sure does. OK, so now I am using my little wet/dry car vac to clean up water
in the kitchen and the bedroom closet, and towels.
Bringing the issue up with the Lord in prayer several times a day. I began to thank him not only
for the Roof over my head, but for my floor and for the foundation. Ok, so I let God know that now I have even a greater need. I have 2 hot water tanks that are rusting, leaking and could possibly be rotting my floors and could possibly cause a mold issue. Stressed? No. For I know that God will see us through this. That he would provide us with either the means to buy, or supply us with a hotwater tank.
Seeking the interent, yahoo freecycle group, craigs list, and few other resources. Finally,
friday, George says I found a hotwater tank, On craigslist. The price was $50.00. The person emailed George back, and told him that he pulled it out of a rental, that he upgraded to gas.
Ok, here is the big question...
$250.00 saved up.
The Tank is ---------- $50.00
Gas to pick it up ---- $40.00
Trust God that this tank will work in the bedroom closet.
Or wait another 2 weeks, when we make our trip to Centraillia and buy a new one at Lowes?
Well can you guess which one we chose?
We trusted God.
We got up early to go to the garage sale Saturday morning.
Bought the hot water tank, and a really nice salmon fishing pole to boot.
We continued on to a couple more sales. Be the looky lou's.
Both of us totally tired, and worn out we by the time we got home.
Neither of us really wanted to tear into this project of replacing the tank.
Deciding we would wait until tomorrow.
A couple hours after resting up. Here comes George with tools. The real work
Begins. We have to take the doors off the closet, all the clutter out of the closet and part of
the wall just to get the old one out.
Ok, the whole time that George is trying to muscle the pipes loose. I am praying, Oh Lord, give George strength, George having his health issues, his stength is not like it use to be.
I also pray to the Lord please, bless our pipes, please do not let them break.
Allow this to be an easy project for us. So many times when things have gone wrong in the past, we would get flustered.
Things just went so smooth. The old tank out. The New Tank in.
Works Great! Praise God!
Just from crawling around on the floor cleaning up the water messes.
my pinched nerve in my back causes so much pain. My whole hip becomes infalmed.
George is hurting, I am hurting.
It is now dinner time. I decided to cook up the pork chops, rice and that yummy milk gravy.
When I was making the milk gravy, I realized that Wow! There is bacon grease in my grease Jar.
It has been a long time since we have had bacon in the house. Again our finance problems, really tired of the financial problems.
While reaching for the bacon grease jar, I praised God for bacon grease! How blessed we are.
We have bacon grease. The Bacon was a treat for us.
I usually can't afford the bacon. My mom picked it up when it was on sale. And she had given it to me earlier that week. That was a blessing in itself.
I am now browning the flour, and Geoge says oh Bunny there is some real bacon grease in their. George ususally cooks, as my hands cramp up so bad, I can hardly hold things. I kind of giggled to myself. I answered yes I used it. Well, while I am adding the milk, my hands begin to cramp up. I ask George to come help, because I cannot pour the milk. So he comes in and helps. The whole time I am just praising the Lord for all my blessings.
I know, that he will provide the second hotwater tank. The one for my kitchen.
God wants to hear from you. If you have troubles, or needs, he wants to hear from you. Turn all your troubles over to him.
He wants to bless you! He Loves YOU!
Here are just a couple scriptures for you, So you Know that God will deliver.
22 Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken. (Psalm 55:22, New International Version, ©2011)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6, New International Version, ©2011)
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7, New International Version, ©2011)
